Coaching In The Granite State Games

The Granite State Games are a success due to the skilled coaches that dedicate their time by volunteering to coach each year. Not only do the athletes that compete in the Games benefit from the direction of NH’s best coaches, but the coaches have an amazing opportunity to work with the state’s most elite High School competitors.

Regional Coaches Are Needed Each Year For:

  • Soccer
  • Softball
  • Golf
  • Field Hockey
  • Tennis
  • Volleyball
  • Basketball
  • Baseball

Interested in becoming a coach in New Hampshire’s largest amateur sporting competition? Coaching the Games has many benefits, such as:

  • Coaching New Hampshire’s best athletes
  • Networking with coaches throughout the state
  • Gaining coaching experience during the off-season
  • Free Granite State Games coaching gear

All coaches will undergo a background check before consideration. Once selected to join the Granite State Games’ team, coaches will be expected to uphold the competitive ideals of the Games while providing all athletes with a productive and supportive learning environment. Coaches will also be responsible for:

  • Recruitment of local athletes to take part in the Games
  • Organizing and submitting complete roster information
  • Collecting athlete’s release forms & registration fees
  • Managing 2 try-out sessions for athletes within their region (help secure playing sites if needed)
  • Coaching voluntary practice sessions after the try outs (help secure playing sites if needed)
  • Coaching throughout the final tournaments

Please note that collegiate coaches can participate in the Granite State Games and NCAA bylaws specifically allow for this participation. With that said, we do ask that all coaches gain clearance from their individual school’s athletic compliance department.
